The Atlantic Health Center provides outpatient behavior health and substance abuse services to the public in conjunction with the Worcester County Health Department. Services include:
- Psychiatric Evaluation
- Medication Evaluation and Monitoring
- Individual, Family Counseling/Therapy
The behavioral health staff
Behavioral therapist
Our behavior therapist is a licensed clinical social worker, A LCSW-C, who provides therapies to help patients establish and meet their goals. Sessions last one hour.
Case managers
They assist patients in obtaining medication assistance, community program involvement and other resources.
Financial Counselor
The financial counselors provide assistance with identifying and applying for financial aid for medical bills.
Tele-Psychiatry Providers
Shepphard Pratt Health System provides tele-behavioral services, which is telemedicine for a mental health service delivered over distances using real time, live, interactive videoconferencing equipment.
Initial Appointment
At your first visit at AHC Behavioral Health Services you will meet with our behavioral specialist, who will conduct an intake interview and discuss treatment planning. After your appointment you will be scheduled for an appointment with one of our telepsychiatry providers. Each appointment takes approximately 1 ½ hours.
