Intensive Care Unit

Our medical staff members work closely with family physicians and specialists to evaluate the medical status and develop treatment plans for each patient in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit. The care of the nurses and two intensivist physicians in our intensive care unit in complemented by the the Maryland eCare remote monitoring system.

Anthony J. Perella, M.D., Pulmonologist

Anthony J. Perella, M.D. is the Medical Director of the Critical Care Unit at Atlantic General Hospital.
Dr. Perella completed a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship and his residency in Internal Medicine at Cooper University Hospital through the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden, NJ. Dr. Perella is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Critical Medicine, and the American College of Physicians. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonology, and board-eligible for Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.




Atif Zeeshan, M.D., Pulmonologist

Atif Zeeshan, M.D. completed his Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Fellowship at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and completed an internship at Dow Medical College and Civic Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. Dr. Zeeshan completed his Internal Medicine residency at Temple University’s Samaritan Program. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care and Pulmonology, and is board-eligible for Sleep Medicine.
